Ordered a heating element for my kitchen stove direct from whirlpool Canada. I did check their warranty online where it states they will accept returns for 30 days past purchase date.
After receiving and installing the part, I discovered that it’s not the broken component. I called Whirlpool, at which point I was informed that there’s no refunds for electronic parts. I specifically checked for that on their online website, no mention of it. To add insult to injury, Whirlpool had upcharged my credit card an extra $10.
No reason for the extra charge was given by the customer service rep, Ronald. It’s very disturbing to me that a company such as Whirlpool would stoop to putting fraudulent charges on my credit card.
